Mass-mailing module overview

Some IxDF members (like Local Leaders, IxDF Staff, etc.) have permission to use the mass-mailing feature to send emails to members grouped by some criteria, such as:

• Members by role
• Members from a particular country
• Members from a particular local group
• Attendees of a particular course
• etc.

Field codes

When you compose mass-notifications, if you want to customize notifications for every recipient, you can use field-codes. For example, you can use [firstName] code and our system will replace it with Member’s first name. There are other Field codes we can use to compose notifications (we list them in our UI).

Permissions

Every Mailing-list has custom logic/code which determines which visitors are authorized to view it. For this reason, different visitors see different available Mailing-lists.
