• appetite: idea’s time budget for a standard team size.
• pitch: an idea, shaped enough to potentially bet on, packaged with a formal write-up. The pitch summarizes the problem, constraints, solution, rabbit holes, and limitations. The pitch goes to the betting table for consideration. If the project gets chosen, the pitch can be re-used at kick-off to explain the project to the team.
• bet: a commit to giving the team the idea’s appetite time (1-6 weeks) to work exclusively on that thing with no interruptions
