Our Story

The "Our Story" page (/about/our-story) tells the founding story of IxDF through a series of chapters (stories).

Country-based access restriction

Some cultures may perceive the storytelling style negatively, so access to the "Our Story" page is restricted for visitors from specific countries.

How it works

• OurStoryAccess service is the single source of truth for access checks
• For authenticated members, the check uses their postal_address_country_code
• For guests, country is detected via IP geolocation
• Blacklisted visitors are redirected to /about, so the restriction is mostly invisible to them
• The "Our Story" menu item in the about sub-navigation is hidden for blacklisted visitors

How to update the blacklist

Edit the our_story_blacklisted_country_codes array in config/ixdf_publication.php.
