How to Merge Tags?
It is easy to merge a tag with another tag via the Tag Control Panel. Let’s merge customer journey and customer journeys tags as an example.
- First of all, you can only merge two tags at a time. It’s important for you to understand two concepts: One of the tags will be deleted (the tag which is going to be merged), and the other tag (the one which is going to stay alive) will inherit both of the tags’ tagged objects and other properties. Also, remember that when merged, if the alive tag doesn’t already have its own topic definition, it will inherit the definition from the merged tag, if available.

Open Tag Control Panel and find the tag which is going to stay alive. Note its slug somewhere. In this case, it’s
customer-journeys.Now, find the tag which is going to be merged (i.e
customer-journeyin this case), and click the Merge tag (this tag will be deleted) button.

- You will now see a page that will allow to merge tags.

- Do you remember the slug you noted? Type it into the one and only input you’re allowed to fill: Name of tag that will be alive after the merge.

- Click the Merge tags button. If the merging is successful, you will be redirected to the Tag Control Panel with the following success message:

Congratulations!
