email validation

We use different rules to validate email to offload the Member Experience team.

DNS records check

We use egulias/email-validator package with DNSCheckValidation that checks email domain for these DNS records:

• MX
• A
• AAAA

At least one of them should exist to make validation rule pass. It catches issues line type in popular mail domains like gmail.con. Sometimes administrators may misconfigure their servers, and this rule may fail even on email domains where email functionality technically works. The common solutions for such cases are:

• ask to fix server configuration
• use another email domain
• ask IxDF developers to whitelist the domain for some time or temporarily disable the rule (please do not use this option often)
