Auto-cancellation of Individual Member’s Membership after Grade Period

After the Grace Period ends (which is stored in a config variable called ixdf_membership.days_since_cancelled, the Membership owner is considered as canceled, and the deleted_at property will set to cancellation date and Member model marked as soft-deleted.

When a Membership owner has a Cancelled Membership, they can still log into their account, but can only either log out or renew their Membership. If they log in, they are welcomed with a screen that asks them if they want to Re-activate their membership.

Manual cancellation

When a person wants to cancel their Membership, they can either go to the billing tab and "un-register" their payment method, which will make the Membership auto-close after the renewal emails. They can also manually click the "Cancel Membership" button. Clicking this button will immediately close their account—even if they have a period they have already paid for. It will also "un-register" the credit card so that it is not saved. That means that if the Member at some point in the future decides to re-activate their Membership, the credit card info will not be there (this is for privacy concerns).
